UPATRAS Special Account for Research Grants has received an accreditation for Managerial Competence since 2009, issued by the Ministry of Education, certifying the administrative efficiency and capacity for the implementation of co-funded projects and programmes.
The Computer Engineering and Informatics Department (CEID) of UPATRAS was founded in 1979 and is one of the leading departments in the field of Computers and Information Technology in Greece. CEID currently has a faculty of 27 members, 20 external teaching staff, 1000 undergraduate and 200 postgraduate students, 13 Laboratories and a fully equipped computer center. It is organized in 3 divisions, namely Software, Hardware and Computer Science Foundations and Applications, offers 3 postgraduate programmes and has long experience in R&D projects.
